this thing is so cool. It works great for being digital & under $500. the IR illuminator works great in complete darkness. If you try to use it in total darkness ( zero ambient light ) you have to use the illuminator. but with full or low moon light it works great. this is typical of ALL digital night vision units & brands. the only thing i struggle with is focusing the unit after zooming in on something, but as long as i dont zoom in focusing is a breeze. side note, if you've never seen a star filled sky through night vision, well you are missing out on a ton more stars you cant see with you naked eye. Absolutely amazing the amount of stars you cant see without night vision.

This is a really nice piece of gear. Perfect for night hunting, especially with an IR laser sight. However, I think an expensive piece of equipment such as this, should be supplied with a half decent carry case. It comes with a soft bag which is too small to include the mounting device. I do think it should have a hard plastic case that the assembled unit can be stored, and carried in. It is good to use, but difficult to manage when not in use.

There is no app to download and connect to the Nvg10 . I can’t record videos off the device.
